The sacai x Nike Cortez 4.0 'OG' celebrates the vintage running shoe's 50th anniversary with a modern build conceived by Chitose Abe. The designer's signature double-themed design makes a return on this pair, highlighted by a white nylon upper with a second collar and tongue finished in a contrasting navy hue. Crimson accents land on the retro leather Swoosh and dual-branded heel tab, partially obscured by stacked overlays in royal blue and grey suede. First spotted during Paris Fashion Week 2019 and part of the Spring 19 lineup, the Sacai x Nike LDWaffle will have everyone seeing double. Inspired by hybridization, the shoe combines the Waffle Daybreak and the LDV, two classic Nikes from the running archive. With two shoes coming together, everything gets doubled. The upper sports a green and yellow mesh, leather and suede combination, with a double Swoosh, double heel counter, double eyestay, double tongue and double laces. An exaggerated sculpted midsole adds another dimension to the shoe, sitting atop the classic Nike waffle outsole. Nike and Sacai branding can be found on the back heel tab as well as the sockliner.

Fragment founder Hiroshi Fujiwara gave us a look at what appears to be an upcoming Sacai x Nike LDV Waffle collaboration.
This offering of the shoe comes dressed in a Navy and Black color scheme. It features White double-layered Swooshes, ribbon laces, Fragment lighting bolt imprint above the White midsole completed with a Black rubber outsole.

Made in partnership with the progressive Japanese fashion label, the Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle SP 'Villain Red' shows off a layered design that recalls the brands' original LDV Waffle collaboration from 2019. The Fragment Design x sacai x Nike LDV Waffle 'Light Smoke Grey' brings together Chitose Abe and Hiroshi Fujiwara on a three-way sneaker collaboration that borrows elements from the Nike LDV and Waffle Racer. In keeping with sacai's signature aesthetic, the upper is crafted from grey mesh with double-stacked tonal suede overlays along the forefoot, heel and eyestay. Launching in March 2020, the Sacai x LDWaffle 'White Nylon' is the neutral follow-up to one of Nike's most sought-after sneaker collaborations from 2019. With the release of the sacai x Jean Paul Gaultier x Nike VaporWaffle 'Sesame,' a venerated French fashion label is added to a creative partnership that dates back to 2015, and fully took flight with the debut of the LDWaffle in 2019. That shoe's successor, the VaporWaffle, is updated here with a mid-cut collar and prominent baseball-style stitching. The khaki textile upper is overlaid with suede paneling in beige, green and yellow, and accented with double-layered leather Swooshes in blue and orange.
