The Nike SB Dunk Low Premium is this Kuwahara ET inspired pair that sought inspiration from the bicycle featured in the late 80's movie. The bike was something special at the time as it had not been widely produced outside of Japan until director Steven Spielberg put in a order for 40 of these custom BMX bikes to be shipped out to Hollywood. Now the folks at Nike have used Spielberg's cross Atlantic product to create these dope Dunk Low Premium SB shoes.

Dropping in January 2020, the Dunk SB Low 'Tie-Dye Raygun - Black' brings back a fan favorite from the height of Nike SB's Pink Box era. The design is updated with a tie-dye effect in honor Sandy Bodecker, the late Nike executive credited for the success of the Swoosh's skateboarding division. The shoe itself is inspired by the Roswell Rayguns, a fictional ABA team featured in a Nike Basketball marketing campaign from 2002.

This reissue is faithful to the original Japan-exclusive release, carrying an all-leather upper with light grey overlays atop a Hyper Blue base. As part of his promotional efforts for the PlayStation 5, the Houston rapper teased the PlayTravis Scott x PlayStation x Nike Dunk Low on his various social media channels in October 2020, before revealing raffle details through his personal website. The upper combines grey suede with cream textile overlays and a rear-facing dark brown Swoosh. A PlayStation graphic adorns the lateral heel, while the Sony logo is embroidered across the heel tab.
