The upper of the silhouette comes constructed out of leather material, with the tonal gray hue taking up most of the upper. The gray leather uppers contrast with the stitched-on metallic foil colors. The metallic silver foil is affixed upon the swoosh logos on both the medial and lateral sides. The sneakers are marked with sarcastic lines from Off-White and Abloh's signature zip ties in white and monochrome gray. A zip-tie tag, "SHOELACES" text above the laces, a tongue tag that has been moved, exposed stitching, "Nike Air" embroidery at the back, and other details complete the raw construction shoe. White laces and inner linings provide another color into the mix over the design, and lastly, the black Abloh zip-tie is added over the "AIR" quotations on the midsoles. The red tags that are highlighted on the bottom of the swoosh logos are the only variation from the sneakers' monochrome color schemes.

This Air Force 1 designed by Virgil Abloh dropped at ComplexCon 2017 in celebration of the silhouette's 35th anniversary. It features a white leather upper with a metallic silver Swoosh and an orange tag. It also comes with a chunky foam tongue and signature "AIR" branding on the midsole. The Nike Air Force 1 AF100 pack also included an Air Force 1 Low by Travis Scott, a Lunar Force 1 by Acronym, an Air Force 1 High by Don C, and an Air Force 1 Low by Roc-A-Fella. The pack received a wider release in December 2017.

The white colorway of the Off-White x Air Presto released in August 2018, a week after its all-black counterpart hit shelves. The lifestyle runner combines a deconstructed build – highlighted by rough seams and the exposed inner foam of the tongue - with the heralded T-shirt-like comfort of the original Nike Air Presto from 2000. Virgil Abloh's signature flourishes are present and accounted for, including a plastic zip tie and printed block-letter text flanked by quotation marks.

Off-White x Futura x Dunk Low SB 'UNC' featured a UNC-esque blue and white color scheme with bright orange laces.Other details include Abloh's signature collaborative branding stamp on the side panel, Helvetica "SHOELACES" text on the laces, translucent outsoles that act as a window to Futura's recognizable signature, and the addition of an unconventional lacing system atop the traditional setup of the Dunk Low.

There's no slowing down for the Dunk in 2021 with Nike set to embark on the silhouette's biggest year ever. Already having previewed dozens of upcoming options for the new year - from general releases to more OFF-WHITE collaborations - yet another appears. This time around, it's a Low version of the original "UNLV" Nike Dunk from 1985. It's a Low that Virgil Abloh used as a base on his selection of Nike Dunks in late 2019, which in itself will drive up the hype. This, though, is void of any OFF-WHITE flair — no external lace overlays, tack-on stitching or exposed-foam tongues, just straight-up classic construction. "Soft Grey" sets the stage for the eye-catching "University Red" that overtakes every overlay across the upper, liner and laces. "NIKE AIR" branding at the tongue also indulges in the scarlet tone atop a grey tag, with the heel embroidery reversed. Sole units remain unchanged from the OG, arriving in a classic white and red arrangement to complete the design.

Virgil Abloh presents a relatively straightforward take on Bruce Kilgore's design with this Off-White x Air Force 1 Low. That isn't to suggest there aren't unique details on the reconstructed build: in addition to a mix of ripstop and suede, the upper features taped seams and a white Swoosh attached via zigzag stitching. Exposed foam and misplaced tags appear on the tongue, while 'LOGO' inscribed on the heel tab delivers a final meta flourish.

Dressed in Desert Tan for most of its body, it features the familiar components as its predecessors. Starting with the “AIR” imprint on the midsole, through to the "SHOELACES" on the laces, and the hallmark ziptie on its topmost. With the uniformity in color of the upper, a strong contrast is lent to the Metallic Silver Swooshes on the profiles, framed within the decorative stitching. The motif proliferates on the center of the heel as well.

The April 2018 version of Virgil Abloh's all-white Air VaporMax is mostly unchanged from the original pair from 'The Ten.' Stripped of color, the performance runner brings raw materials and unique details to the forefront, including an exposed-foam tongue, translucent Swoosh and Off-White suede eyestay. Printed above the clear VaporMax unit, the quotation 'AIR' print on the lateral side takes on an extra meta dimension.
