Nike celebrated the 35th Anniversary of the Nike Dunk by releasing the Nike Dunk Low SP St. John's (2020), now available on StockX. The Nike Dunk debuted as part of the 1985 Nike College Color's program, a program that delivered footwear in the school colors of 12 popular basketball programs allowing fans to support their favorite teams from head to toe. This St. John's colorway was among the first collegiate colorways Nike released, breaking the mold for colorways used on basketball shoes.

This 2016 Nike SB Dunk low 'Sea Crystal' sports the same colorway as the 2004 Nike SB Dunk High 'Sea Crystal.' Built to the specifications of American skateboarder Ishod Wair, this version of the Dunk Low features a slimmer tongue than the traditional model as well as a Zoom Air unit in the heel of the insole. The design is updated with a tie-dye effect in honor Sandy Bodecker, the late Nike executive credited for the success of the Swoosh's skateboarding division.
