The 2020 edition of the Nike Dunk Low SP Retro 'Veneer' brings back one of the original colorways from the CO.JP 'Ugly Duckling Pack' from 2001. Like its predecessor, the upper is almost entirely constructed from pigskin suede, finished in a discordant blend of brown, green and purple hues. Breathable mesh is applied to the collar and tongue, accented with a traditional woven Nike tag. An additional pop of violet distinguishes the sneaker's rubber outsole.

This offering of the Nike Dunk Low features a Sage Green leather base with White tumbled leather overlays. The Green hue continues on the nylon tongues as well as White on the laces, inner lining, and midsole. Orange accents appear on the holographic tongue tags and Swooshes with an embroidered "NIKE" heel and lateral "NY vs NY" branding on the lateral. An icy translucent outsole with a scheduled of events listed underneath completes the design.

Clad in a suede upper finished in a contrasting blue and tan palette, the Nike Dunk Low SB 'ACG Celadon' recalls a vintage silhouette drawn from the Swoosh's all-conditions line: the Caldera hiking boot from the early '90s. Whereas the older shoe was intended for rugged terrain, this low-top Dunk is made for skate, featuring a grippy rubber outsole and a custom sockliner enhanced with a Zoom Air unit in the heel. A speckled midsole amplifies the outdoor aesthetic, while a padded mesh tongue offers added breathability.

Designed by Guangzhou artist Jason Deng, the Nike SB Dunk Low "Street Hawker" gives big props to the bonding effect food culture has in China. Above, a watercolor painting from Deng shows the design inspiration: six regional dishes from six Chinese cities, combined with a slew of other, subtly-incorporated nods to Chinese cuisine.

For the brand's traveling White Dunk Exhibition in 2003, Nike SB created extremely limited Dunk colorways for the tour's host cities. This pair pays tribute to Paris, featuring a tan suede base with canvas overlays printed with the artwork of French painter Bernard Buffet. In addition to a rumored production run limited to around 202 pairs, the 'Paris' Dunk is distinguished by the fact that no two pairs are exactly alike.

Other details include embroidery of children playing in the snow featured on the heel counter and left toe box while the text reading "Ice" in Chinese appears on the insole. Nike teamed up with UNheardof and Anonymous to release the SB Dunk Low 'Nasty Boys' in September 2015. Done up in the red and grey road colors of the Cincinnati Reds, the shoe pays tribute to the team's 'Nasty Boys' relief corps of Norm Charlton, Rob Dibble and Randy Myers, who were instrumental in the Reds' 1990 World Series championship over the Oakland A's. The Bay Area team received its own high-top Dunk to complete the thematic pack.

Nike SB released the 'What The Dunk?' as part of the campaign for "Nothing But the Truth", their very first feature length skate film featuring the Nike SB Team Riders. Created from 31 different Nike SB Dunks, each part of the 'What The Dunk?' is taken directly from those 31 Dunks, including panels, shoelaces, tongues, outsoles and stitching. Out of 31 Dunks, only one was unattainable to consumers. The neon green lining on the left shoe is from the infamous 'eBay Dunk', where it was a 1 of 1. The 'What The…' concept has been adopted on a few different shoes, but the Nike SB Dunk started it all.

Celebrating its 75th birthday this year, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has delighted fans the world over for over seven decades. It's also been the birthplace of countless footwear icons from the Chuck Taylor to the Air Jordan 1. Amongst the A-list of hardwood-turned-streetwear sneakers is the humble Nike Dunk, and it, along with the NBA, will be celebrating the Association's diamond anniversary with a handful of special team-themed releases, including this NBA x Nike Dunk Low "Knicks" colorway. (Unofficially) honing in on the heavily-supported franchise that is the New York Knicks, the celebratory kicks come clad in the Knickerbockers' signature orange, blue and white, seen here linking with blacks and greys, too. The latter serves the upper layers, quarter overlays, and liners, while the team hues hover of the forefoot (orange) and Swoosh/heel combo (blue) before returning to black and white underfoot. Completing the design are special anniversary tongue tags and diamond-etched dubraes that serve as a nod to the celebratory event.

The Nike women's Dunk Low 'Orange Pearl' offers a pastel colorway of the classic low-top, rendered in traditional color blocking in keeping with the shoe's '80s roots. The upper carries a stark white base with contrasting overlays in a pale coral hue. Traditional Dunk details include a perforated toe box and a lightly padded nylon tongue marked with a woven Nike tag. The sneaker is supported by a two-tone rubber cupsole, equipped with a basketball-specific traction pattern made for pivoting.

Dropping in January 2020, the Dunk SB Low 'Tie-Dye Raygun - Black' brings back a fan favorite from the height of Nike SB's Pink Box era. The design is updated with a tie-dye effect in honor Sandy Bodecker, the late Nike executive credited for the success of the Swoosh's skateboarding division. The shoe itself is inspired by the Roswell Rayguns, a fictional ABA team featured in a Nike Basketball marketing campaign from 2002.

This reissue is faithful to the original Japan-exclusive release, carrying an all-leather upper with light grey overlays atop a Hyper Blue base. A faux carbon fiber texture is applied to the Swoosh and heel tab, both rendered in the same crimson hue that finishes the rubber outsole. A standard Nike tag adorns the padded nylon tongue.
