Releasing as part of the renowned retailer's 30th anniversary festivities, the Union LA x Air Jordan 4 Retro 'Desert Moss' brings back the creative partners' modified AJ4 from 2020. This pair is taken from a capsule dubbed 'Tent and Trail,' featuring colors and materials inspired by outdoor gear from the '80s and '90s. The mid-top carries an upper built with a blend of bright purple mesh and mustard yellow suede. Vibrant pops of turquoise land on the lower molded eyelets and heel tab, marked with Nike Air branding in a lavender hue. A stitched fold-down tongue, yellow 'UN/LA' tag and translucent TPU wings are carried over from the 2020 release. The sneaker is mounted on an off-white polyurethane midsole with an aqua-tinged Air-sole unit under the heel.

The Union LA x Air Jordan 4 Retro 'Off Noir' represents the follow-up effort to the duo's highly coveted Air Jordan 1 collaboration from 2018. The updated design features a black suede upper with matching black mesh on the toe box and blue mesh around the collar. The semi-translucent structural wings are attached to molded red eyelets, matching the woven Air Jordan tag atop the padded tongue and Nike Air branding on the heel. The TPU wings are filled in, reminiscent of an original Tinker Hatfield sketch of the AJ4, while the AIR JORDAN tag usually found on the inside of the tongue conveys a unique look, like someone folded the tongue over to expose the inside tag. Finally, a 'UN/LA' tag on the side panel shows the Union heritage and a yellowed midsole conveys a vintage aesthetic.

The Air Jordan 4 Retro SE 'FIBA' updates the '89 icon for the 2019 Basketball World Cup. This iteration, dressed in a patriotic Gym Red, white, Metallic Gold and Obsidian colorway, was released in September 2019. It features a tumbled leather upper that displays elements of the competing country's flags in place of the original AJ 4's mesh. Other highlights include prominent Jumpman branding on the tongue and heel, and a 'For The Love of The Game' tag on the inner tongue.

In 2012 the Air Jordan 4 'Retro 'Bred' was released as part Nike's Black Friday release. The sneaker was one of the four original colorways released in 1989. It features the same Black, Red, and Cement Grey colorway as its original. The Air Jordan 4 'Retro 'Bred' was retro'd in 1999 and in 2008 as part of the Collezione pack. This 2012 retro release also swaps out the OG Nike Air branding for a Jumpman logo on the heel.
